Biography

Bertha Strong was born in December 1920 in Clarenville, Newfoundland. Her parents were George Strong and Sarah Blundon. She was listed on the 1921 census at Clarenville with her parents and 4 siblings.^[1] She was listed on the 1935 census at Clarenville, Newfoundland.^[2] She married Charles Pitcher in 1942. They were listed on the 1945 census at Clarenville with a 3 year old son.^[3] She died on November 21, 2012 at St Clares's Mercy Hospital in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.^[4]
