Max was born in 1871[1] and had 12 siblings and 3 half siblings.
In the city directory of Halle of 1897 he is not listed in Cröllwitz[2], in 1898[3] and 1899[4] he is listed in Cröllwitz, Thalstraße 29 as assistant postman. His father-in-law is also listed in Thalstraße 29. In 1890 he is listed in Cröllwitz, Schulberg 3 as postman[5]
He was a metalworker. In 1899 in his sons birth record he is listed as a postman, living in Cröllwitz, Schulberg Nr. 3.
Max married Martha Burkhart in 1894. They had 7 children.
In 1927, he is listed as retired postman (Ob. Postschaffner i.R.) at Schulberg 2, ground floor.[6]
In 1943, he is listed as retired postman (Ob. Postschaffner a.D.) at Weißenburgstr. 15.[7]
Max died in 1951.[8] A year before he was living in Grellstraße 15[9], also Cröllwitz near Schulberg 3.
