Biography

Laura Studebaker was born on 16 December 1878 or1879 in Indiana. She was the daughter of John Studebaker and Emma Fisher.[1]

In 1880 Laura (age 1) was found living with her parents and older brother Ira (age 3) in Washington Township, Carroll County, Indiana.[2]

Some Studebakers were found living in Girard, Crawford, Kansas in May, 1895. An end-of-school newspaper listing of various presentations names Laura, Noah and Ezra Studebaker. Laura would have been about 14 years old. [3]

A Laura Studebaker of the right age (26) was recorded in the Kansas Census in 1905. The household included Emma (age 57), Noah (age 24), Mary (age 17) and a 3-year-old child with a different last name.[4]

Laura died in Arizona on 27 February 1921. Her occupation at the time was given as clerk. She was buried in the Glendale Memorial Park in Glendale, Maricopa, Arizona.[1]
