William Dempsey (17) is on the 1871 census in the household of Edward Moriarty (38) his wife Amanella (40) and their family; Annie (6), Susan (4) and Mary (1). Amanella is possibly their mother who remarried?[1] Along with William are likely his sisters Odessa (15), Amuret (13), and Catherine (10).
W. Wallace Dempsey (70) died on Feb 27, 1924 at Morden, NS.[2] His father is listed as John Dempsey, his mother just "Sturk" which is her maiden name (confirmed via birth registration of half brother[3]).
