Biography

Evaline (Sullivan) Mathews was born in Appalachia, in West Virginia.

Evaline was born in 1833. She is the daughter of Charles Sullivan and Elizabeth Lane. According to a researcher at the Campus Martius Museum in Marietta, Ohio, she was baptised on October 19, 1838 probably at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Marietta. Evaline later married her husband Daniel Greene Mathews on 15 May, 1855. ^[1] They had at least four children, including Richard Greene Mathews. She passed away in 1913. ^[2]
