Matthew Summers, aka Matthew Somers, Matthew Summar
When Matthew Summar was born in 1785, in Caswell, North Carolina, United States, his father, James Summers [1755–1820], was 30 and his mother, Lavinia Gillespie [1777–1870], was 8. He died on 25 May 1835, in Wilson, Tennessee, United States, at the age of 50.
He married Eunice Wright or Alexander about 1805, in Caswell, North Carolina, United States. They were the parents of at least 2 sons (John W., Thomas D.) and 3 daughters (Mary J, Penelope, Elizabeth H)
