Biography

John Bernard Swanton was born in Bath, in 1782, and married Lydia Bosworth in 1814. He was Collector of the Port of Bath from 1825 to 1829. He afterwards retired to a farm in Dresden, where he died in 1851. HISTORY OF BATH. [ page] 359
