Maren Svendsdatterwas born in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway 13 Jan and christened 16 Mar 1851. ^[1]

Her father was Svend Svendsen Wagle, son of Svend Olsen
Her mother was Marie Thorsdotter, daug of Thore Larsen
Her parents Marie Thorsdotter & Svend Svendsen married May 8, 1845, Høyland (today in Sandnes), Rogaland, Norway and their record shows both their fathers names.^[2]

Marie Immigrated to the US 1870.

Married John C. Hallbeck, November 23, 1873, Cook County, IL.^[3]

Went to Sweden with her husband between 1876 and 1880

Mother- Mary Swenson age 88. Mary had 8 children 4 were not living. She immigrated in 186(7,9,or 1) can't read.
