Biography
Mary Jane Tainton (married name Lowen) was born on 28 August 1853 in Richmond, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Ann Tainton and James Tainton.[1]
She married Edward Charles Lowen in 1872 in Colony of Victoria.[2]

Mary died on 2 April 1910 in Bright, Victoria[3] and was buried at the Bright Cemetery[4] (Buried on 4th February 1910.).

- LOWEN. — On 2nd April, at Bright, after a painful illness. Mary Jane, the dearly beloved wife of Edward Lowen, and eldest daughter of the late James Tainton, of East Burwood.
Cause of death - gastric carcinoma.
