Ros remembers visiting the Taintons as a young girl in Burwood Rd East Burwood and thought they all looked like people from another era. Not unlike the Amish. The Marriage Certificate of George and Sarah states that they were married at the private residence of James Tainton by the rites of Primitive Methodist Church. Obviously very religious and most likely god fearing people.
Ros remembers that many were deaf and use to have hearing horns, their clothes were drab. Probably very hard working and it appears their trades were orchardists and farmers. Burwood Rd East Burwood was a huge fruit growing area. from the Sell family tree.
