Biography

Thomas Taisey was born October 3, 1803 in Groton, Caledonia, Vermont, the son of Robert Taisey and Agnes Gault. ^[1] He married Sarah (unknown) by 1832 in Vermont, and they had two children there (Russell and John). They were in Ohio by 1840 ^[2] and three more children (Mathew, Mary and Elizabeth) were born by 1850.^[3] in 1860 at age 56, Thomas and his family were living in Buffalo, Wright, Minnesota. ^[4]
