Biography

Deliverance, daughter of Nathaniel Tallman, was born about 1706 at Newport, Newport County, RI. She died on 13 Nov 1783 at Lyme, Middlesex County, CT, in her 77th year and was buried in Hadlyme Churchyard, East Haddam.[1]

She married Isaac WILLEY Jr, son of Isaac WILLEY and Rose BENNETT, on 12 May 1727 at Lyme, New London County, CT; children (1st 5 b. Lyme; surname WILLEY):[2][3][4][5]

She was called "dearly beloved wife Deliverance Willy" by the will of Isaac WILLEY Jr dated 16 Mar 1767 at Lyme, New London County, CT.[6]

Widow Deliverance Willey exchanged land in Lyme with some of her daughters:[3]

  • 17 Aug 1771 to daughter Deliverance Allen
  • 3 Nov 1774 to "her loueing and dutifull Daughter" Miriam Atwood of Lyme wife of Daniel Atwood of Lyme
  • 9 Apr 1783 to her dau. Abigail Willey
