Biography
James died on 14 October 1940 in Quitaque, Floyd, Texas, United States.[1]
(12/29/97) According to Jim's granddaughter, John and Jim were known as Red and Black because of their hair color. They moved their families from King County, Texas, during the first half of 1911 to a location about 7.5 miles southwest of the town of Quitaque where they had bought property from Al Askey. The two brothers were very close and ranched and farmed together as partners until the spring of 1929.
