Albert was born Dec. 29, 1923, in Coffeyville, Montgomery County, Kansas. He was the son of Edward Taylor Sr. and Christina Rosetta Thompson.[1] In 1930, the family lived on Dickson Street in St. Louis, Missouri: Eddie (30), Christina (30), Edward (11), Lavera (10), Cleo (8), Albert (7), Marion (3), and Clarence (1). Eddie's brother Ernest (24) also lived with them.[2]
In 1940, Edward (39) and Christina Taylor (39) lived on Cote Brilliante Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri, with their children: Edward (20), Lavera (19), Cleo (17), Albert (16), Mary (14), Marion (12), Clarence (11), Herman (9), Christine (7), Edith (5), and Donald (1).[3]
Albert's World War II draft registration card lists him living on Cote Brilliante Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked at Union Station for the Frisco Railroad.[4] He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 at Jefferson Barracks, Lemay, Missouri.[5]
Albert married Edna Miller in June 1946.[6]
In 1950, Albert (27) was living on Cote Brilliante Avenue in St. Louis with his parents, Edward (52) and Christina Taylor (52), and their family. His marital status was "separated." He was a taxi driver.[7] His wife, Edna Miller Taylor (23), a census enumerator, was living on Argus Avenue in Richmond Heights, St. Louis, Missouri, with her parents, Samuel Miller (64) and Virginia Miller (62), and with her three daughters: Paula (3), Pamela (2), and Phyliss (6 months).[8]
Albert passed away July 20, 1981, in St. Louis, Missouri. He is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri.[9]
