Ann TAYLOR was born on 14 March 1838 and christened on 8 April 1838 at Saint Giles Cripplegate, London, London, England[1]. Her parents were James TAYLOR and Ann WILLIAMS.
The ship, Harpley set sail from Plymouth, England on 21 September 1849 with Mr. and Mrs. James TAYLOR and family among the passengers and arrived in Port of Melbourne, Colony of New South Wales on 6 January 1850[2]. The TAYLOR family from London consisted of parents, James and Ann and at least 4 children: George, Ann, Eleanor and Sarah.
Alfred KIRWOOD and Anne TAYLOR were married in 1859 in Colony of Victoria[3].
She passed away on 20 July 1941 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia[4] and was buried at the Geelong Eastern Cemetery, Geelong, Greater Geelong City, Victoria, Australia[5].
The death occurred on Sunday at the home of her daughter (Mrs. A. E. Gorell), Little Fyans street, South Geelong, of Mrs. A. E. Kirwood, at the age of 103 years. Deceased was born in London, and arrived in Melbourne with her parents at the age or 12 years. She was married in Melbourne in 1859, and went to Geelong with her husband four years later and since had resided there. Her husband died some years ago. She had seven children, four of whom are living. Mr. J. H. Kirwood, of Horsham, is a nephew of deceased.
