James married Delila Randall May 22, 1838, in Preble County, Ohio.[1] They lived in Milford Township, Butler County, Ohio.[2][3][4][5]
Delila died May 6, 1861. James married Mrs. Mary (Brown) Delaplane August 31, 1862.[6]
James died March 12, 1889.[7] He was buried at Somerville Cemetery, Somerville, Butler County, Ohio, USA.[8]

(married Cynthia Smith), Sarah Jane (married Harvey Harris, Thomas Irwin), Caroline (married Benjamin F. Pogue), Susan (married George Emerick), Infant son, Lydia, Margaret (married James Ratliff), Mary (married John F. Mee), Catharine, & Franklin Teague. On Aug. 31, 1862, James married Mary Brown Delaphane, widow of James Delaphane.[9]
