Erasmus Teich has German Roots.

Erasmus was born in 1869. He was the son of Unknown Teich. He passed away in 1956.

Obituary

Special to Press-Gazette ALGOMA. Wis. - Erasmus Teich, 86, Algoma, Rt. 2, died at a Green Bay hospital Thursday morning following a six month illness. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

Mr. Teich was born in the Town of Ahnapee on Christmas Day 1869 and was married to Ida Schiesser in the German Methodist Church at Algoma on Nov. 22, 1899. He had been a resident of the Town of Annapee all his life. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs, Walter (Mae) Hafeman, Algoma; two sons, Edwin, Algoma, and Milton, Algoma, Rt. 2; a brother John, West Sturgeon Bay; four sisters, Mrs. Fred Schilling, Mrs. James Benedict and Miss Emma Teich, all of West Sturgeon Bay, and Mrs. Emil Miller, Kolberg, and one grandchild. A son Victor preceded him in death.

The last rites will be conducted by the Rev. K. F. Toepel in St. Paul Lutheran Church here at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Algoma, The body may be viewed at the Haucke Funeral Home here from 7 o'clock this evening until 11 a.m. Sunday and at the church until the time of services.[1][2]
