John and Martha had the following 6 children (though John died intestate his lands and goods were divided between his wife and children, it's from these records Jay Norwalk identifies the six children of John and Patsy Ancestry Image $)

Research Notes

There is one John Templeton listed in the 1790 Census for Iredell County. One male over 16, 2 males under 16, and 5 females. John is listed next to Robert and Thomas Templeton. There is also only one John Templeton in the 1800 Census for Iredell County. This could either be John Templeton. This needs researching.

Templeton-1932 and Templeton-422 appear to represent the same person because: Working to merge duplicates I am finding for the Templeton line. Posted notes on John Templeton-422 about the work. Thanks Mags!

I never received the copy of the book as FedEx absolutely lost it. Craziness. BUT, the author, Jay Norwalk, had intended the book be available on Family Search so as of today it is available. Thank You Jay. DJ, I have work to do to get the duplicates of this gentleman merged done into this profile (unless I find another one of lower ID). Mags!

Templeton-1932 and Templeton-1468 appear to represent the same person because: Working to clear-up some of the Templeton duplicates - This family of Iredel is in Jay Norwalks book on P. 17.

Templeton-417 and Templeton-1468 do not represent the same person because This john Templeton did not have a son David T. I do see Ancestry Trees with many more children and with one that is David T. who migrated to Indiana. The Families of the Irish Templetons of Laurens/York County, SC migrated to Indiana, so it appears there is some mixing-up of the families.

Templeton-1932 maybe one of your John Templeton’s as it lists the same spouse in the bio. Templeton-417 worth looking into as may be the same person.
