Biography

Evangeline "Tenoh" was born on 12 April 1894 in Ontario, Canada.^[1] She is presumed to have died in childbirth or infancy like her twin sister.

Research Notes

Evangeline appears to have a twin, Emaline, born on the same day. This is not unlikely due to a history of possible twins born to this family. There are separate birth records listed with the same birth date for Emaline and Evangeline, but to confirm from the primary source will require reading through significant amounts of microfilm ^[2]. It seems unlikely (but not impossible) that Evangeline was misread as Emaline during transcription. For now, Evangeline has been created based on summary evidence available and will be merged into Emaline if further examination warrants.

Although there is a death record for Emaline, a death record for Evangeline has yet to be found. However, based on the lack of middle name, which appears to be a family trend for stillbirths / early infancy deaths, and based on the early death of her twin sister, she is presumed to have died within 1894.
