Biography

Charles Layman Terry was born on 28 Sep 1862,^[1] the son of Timothy Terry, b. New Jersey, and Elizabeth Davis, b. Delaware.^[2][3][4]

Elizabeth Isabelle Maxson and Charles "Lamon" Terry, a produce merchant, were married on 17 April 1898 in Fredrica, Kent County, Delaware. Both were residents of Fredrica, Delaware, and this was the first marriage for both. The marriage was solemnized by Thomas E. Terry.^[4][5] Based on census and other records, they had at least the following children:

• Charles Layman Terry, Jr., b. 17 Sept 1900^[6]
• Nathan Maxson Terry, b. 15 Feb 1904^[7]

He died on 12 May 1939 at Camden, Kent, Delaware, ^[2] and is buried at the Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica, Kent, Delaware.^[1]
