1881 - Mary Theresa Thiede was born in Shakopee, Scott Co.,MN., (in a house on Main street. JWP
has photo's taken in 1991, of the house 328 First St.- now white, clapboard, rather old, next door to an
automobile parts store on So. side of Main St.) - this may be incorrect- according to Scott Co. property
records, Herman Thiede was granted a Quit claim Deed to lot 8, block 25 of Shakopee, which, on a visit
Jan 17, 1992 had house number 320, right next door to the West.
1881 - She was baptized at St. Mark's Church, Shakopee.
ca1886 - 1898 She attended St. Mark's Catholic Church school for grades 1 through 8, and Shakopee
High School for 9 thru 12.
ca1899 - Then attended "Normal school" to get a teachers license.
1899 - 1903 Taught school at Jordan, MN from about 1899 to 1903.

school
1905 - She married Sigel Granville Dyer at St. Mark's in Shakopee.
She was referred to by family as "Sig's Mary" to differentiate from her brother's wife "Ed's Mary".
1910 - US Census. Living at 2419 16th Ave. So., Mpls.
