DEATH NOTICE. THOMAS.—On September 13, 1932, at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. H. Dreyer, 138 Claremont-avenue, Claremont, James, husband of the late Bridget Louise Thomas, and father of Pulo (Mrs. L. Laurence), Lillian (Mrs. J. McTafferty), Lavina (Mrs. H. Dreyer), Eunice (Mrs. L. Baker), Evelyn (Mrs. E.W. Potter), John, James, Albert and Kevin Thomas; aged 78 years.
OBITUARY. The Late Mr. James Thomas. The funeral of the late Mr. James Thomas, of 138 Claremont-avenue, Claremont, took place in the Church of England portion of the Karrakatta Cemetery yesterday afternoon. The Rev. Canon H. H. Harper officiated at the graveside, in the presence of many relatives and friends. Mr. Thomas was born at Fremantle and lived in Western Australia all his life. He resided for about 28 years at Karridale and for the past 27 years at Claremont. Mr Thomas was of kindly disposition, always anxious to help others. The chief mourners were Mesdames J. Potter, H. Dreyer, L. Lawrence, L. Baker and J. McCafferty (daughters), Messrs. J. A., J. H. and A. V. Thomas (sons), Mesdames A. Lewis and H. Cole (sisters), Mesdames J. H. and J. A. Thomas (daughters-in-law), Messrs. H. Dreyer, E. W. Potter, J. McCaffery and L. Lawrence (sons-in-law), Mrs. K. M. Rogers and Miss M. J. Rogers (sister-in-law), Messrs. J. G. and E. H. Caporn and T. J. Briggs (cousins). The pall-bearers were Messrs. Ken Beaton (Triumph Lodge U.A.O.D.), C. Smith, G. Hudson, W Gilbert, S. Smith, H. Hollands, W. Atkinson and A. L. Hickey. Numerous floral tributes were placed on the grave, and widespread expressions of sympathy have been extended to the bereaved relatives. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Arthur E. Davies and Company.
