She was born in Wellsburg, ND on her family farm on May 24, 1930 to Katherine and Sebastian Thomas. Ann attended high school in Maddock, ND and college at The State Teacher's College in Minot, ND.
She taught school before marrying Glen Gumeringer in 1953, her husband of 61 years. They made their home and raised their family in Vancouver, WA. Ann was a homemaker and devoted mother.
She also spent many years volunteering in the Vancouver School District, helping children with reading, studying art and other various activities. Ann was awarded the Golden Acorn Award for her many years of service.
Later, she worked as a bookkeeper and accounts payable coordinator at Harry's Lawn and Power Equipment.
She was an avid Trail Blazers fan, loved walking, bowling, and being with friends.
