Biography

John Thompson born about 1780 was the son of James Thompson and his wife (née Patterson per DAR record). He married Miss Amy Bobbitt February 1806 in Christian County, Kentucky. There were twelve named children of this marriage. John died about 1834. On the 1840 Census Amy Thompson appears as Head of Household.
