Robert was born in 1869. He was the son of George Thompson and Sallie Ferguson. He passed away in 1928.
MINISTER DIES IN WARREN COUNTY
Rites for the Rev. R. B. Thompson to Be Held Today At Cave Hill.
The Rev. Robert B. Thompson, 58 years old, a minister in the Church of Christ for thirty-two years, died at midnight last night at his home at Cave Hill, Warren County, of blood poisoning following a week's illness. The Rev. Mr. Thompson was born near Hadley, a son of the late George Thompson and Mrs. Sallie Ferguson Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Scott Thompson; six sons, Virgil Thompson, Rockfield and Clarence, George. William, Samuel and Robert Thompson, Jr.. Cave Hill; three daughters. Misses Edith and Aline Thompson, Cave Hill, and Mrs. Owen Hullott. Browning, and two brothers, the Rev. Samuel J. Thompson, a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, and former presiding elder of the Louisville district, and Virgil Thompson, Texas.
The Rev. Mr. Thompson had filled pastorates at Marrs Hill, Shiloh, Mount Zion, Prices Chapel, Reedyville and Polkville.
Burial will be in the Coley Graveyard[1] near the Ebenezer Church. [2]
