Martha Thompson was born on 22 May 1784 in Boothbay, Maine. Her parents were Samuel Thompson and Mary (Reed) Thompson[1].
She married John Wylie on 2 February 1808 in Boothbay[2]. They had seven children[1]:
1. Joseph, born 4 Jan 1811; lost at sea
2. George, born 4 Jan 1811; lost at sea
3. Samuel Thompson, born 30 Jun 1813
4. Julia, born 20 Jun 1816; married 1st Edward Dodge, 2nd John Hodgdon
5. Elizabeth, born 18 Apr 1819[3]; married Jacob Bryer
6. Sewall, born 11 Jun 1823; married Rebecca Matthews
7. John, born 12 Feb 1827; Abigail Giles
Martha died on 8 March 1833 in Boothbay[1] and is buried in Kenniston Cemetery[4].
