Sarah Ann Threatt first married James Arthur "Johnny" Robertson about 1872. Johnny was the son of John Ervin Robertson and Eliza Massey. Johnny and Sarah had the following children: Harriett A. "Hattie", Lillian Lean, Madeline Rebecca "Maddie" and James Arthur "Jimmy" Jr. Jimmy was born 7 days after his father died.

Funeral services for John Wesley Threatt, 75 years old was held Wednesday

afternoon from the White Plains church, near Pageland at 2:30. interment in

the White Plains cemetery. The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. T. Hughes of

the Bethel Methodist church of the East Lancaster circuit. Mr. Threatt is

survived by several children. His wife died two years ago. Mr. Threatt was a

brother of the late Mrs. W. B. Plyler whose death occurred Saturday, March

24. The Reeves funeral home was in charge.

No clues as to which paper or year this clipping is taken.

John Wesley THREATT information received from another researcher includes a copy of his obituary. As the obituary did not include a date of death or burial, it did include some valuable information. The obit stated "Mr. Threatt was a brother of the late Mrs. W.B. Plyler whose death occurred Saturday, March 24th." This sister was the former Sarah Ann (Sallie) THREATT ROBERTSON who died March 24, 1934.
