Philip was likely born in about 1592 at Bromham, Wiltshire. Though no baptismal record was found, this was the main focus of Tise baptisms at that time in near proximity. He was therefore likely the son of James Tice/Tise. Philip was first married in 1617 to Anne Somner at Seend, Wiltshire[1] and they had three children there, two daughters plus a son. Anne then died in 1629 at Rowde, Wiltshire and it appears that Philip married again soon after. No record of the latter was found, but he and a Susan had a son John in 1630 at Rowde. However, the boy died a month after his baptism and Susan also died just over two months later (recorded as the wife of Philip). Philip married a third time to Elizabeth Krill in 1631 at Rowde[2] and they had six children there, four daughters and two sons. Philip then died in 1651 at Rowde and was buried there[3], leaving a will[4].
