Barnett Tidwell was born in Appalachia, in Alabama.

Barnett Thomas Tidwell was born August 12, 1873 to Thomas Tidwell and Mournin Tidwell in Alabama.

He married Presh Hollingsworth on October 19, 1895 in Blount County, Alabama. ^[1] Their children were:
