Biography
Ernest Rusteen Tingley was born on June 27, 1890 in Littleton, Aroostook, Maine, United States, son of Curtis Herbert Tingley (1852–1924) and Elisabeth Tilley (1855–~1918).
In 1900, Ernest (10) was living in Hammond Plantation & Littleton town, Aroostook. [1]
In 1910, Ernest (20) was living in Littleton.[1]
Ernest (25) married Maud Etta McCubrey (18) (born on February 3, 1897 in Washburn, Aroostook County, Maine; daughter of Stephen Edward Stairs and Maude Sarah McCubrey) on August 7, 1915. Their children were:
- Lowell Bertain Tingley (1917–1942)
- Ruth Louise Tingley (1921–1989)
- Stephen Earl Tingley (1923–1996)
- Leston Richard Tingley (1925–1944)
- Leon Tingley (1932–1932)
- Leonard Tingley (1932–1932)
