Biography

Hugh was born in 1899. He was the son of Thomas Titus and Eleanor Davies. [1]

DEATHS. On Active Service. TITUS (Nov 1917).[2]Officially reported killed in action on 11th October, 1917, Lance-Corporal Hughie J., youngest dearly loved son of Mrs E. Titus, 33 Grant St, Clifton Hill, and late Thomas Titus (formerly of Maldon), loved brother of Mrs W. Lane, Tom, Mrs Hobson, Mrs Martin Mrs Quinlan, George, Harry, Frank (on active service), Ernie, Molly and Cora; aged 18 years. Mother's baby boy. Fight on, brave Australians And avenge them in the trenches Far away his bright young life, Must not be given in vain.[3]
