Biography

Anderson Todd was born February 22, 1841, in Scotland, a daughter of Matthew Todd and Helen Drummond, who died November 30, 1863, in Fergus, Centre Wellington, Ontario Province, Canada. In 1865, Anderson's father married Margaret Orr, widow of John McMullan and John Hinds.

In 1867, Anderson married William John McMillan, a son of John McMillan/McMullan and Margaret Orr. Children of Anderson and John include:

• Matthew Todd McMillan, born 1867, died 1922, married Hedwig Henrietta Schumacher ^[1]

• William John McMillan, Jr. born September 14, 1869, in Fergus, Wellington county, Ontario, died October 29, 1927, in Seattle, King county, Washington, married Michlena Schmidt, a daughter of Martin Schmidt and Catherine Behnke ^[2]

• Robert Orr McMillan, born May 8, 1871, in Fergus, died 1960, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, married Agnes Casey ^[3]

Anderson (Todd) McMillan died November 5, 1913, at the age of 72 years, in Saint Paul, Ramsey county, Minnesota and is buried in the Oakland Cemetery.

Researchers Notes

According to her gravestone, Anderson was born in Edinburgh, however the 1851 Scotland census shows her place of birth as Daun, Perthshire, Scotland. ^[10]
