Biography

Edward W Toles was born in 1872 in Charlotteville, Summit, Schoharie, New York, United States, son of Seabury Herman Toles (1844 - 1935) and Mary Etta (Payne) Toles (1845 - 1918).

Edward married Fannie B Unknown (1867 - 1939) in 1895. Their son was Ralph L Toles (1900 - 1981).

Edward married Ethel Kuster (~1891 - ) on 4 Dec 1924 in Broome, New York^[1]. However, he was still married to his first wife Fannie. Peace officers came to the home he shared with Ethel to arrest him on charges of abandonment of Fannie. It is believed he feared more serious charges, as he asked to be allowed to get a coat and as soon as he entered the closet he shot himself and died on the spot^[2].

Edward died on 23 Oct 1925 in Colesville, Broome, New York aged ~53^[3].
