Biography

George was born on 26 May 1850 in Hartsville, Steuben Co., NY. He was the son of Silas Toles and Sarah E (Webb) Toles.[1]

In the 1850 census George (age 6 days) was living in Andover, Allegany, New York, USA.[2]

In 1855 George (age about 4) was living in Hartsville, Steuben, New York, USA. Relation to Head: Child.[3]

In the 1860 census George (age 10) was living in Eulalia, Potter, Pennsylvania, USA. Residence Post Office: Eulalia.[4]

When George was about 26 he married Aurilla Duell in 1877. The couple had 11 children: Arthur L Toles, Nellie Ethel Toles, Myrtle E Toles, Lula Bell Toles, Hattie Lusina Toles, Jennie Toles, Letha Aurilla Toles, Fred Lorn Toles, Annabelle Toles, Mary Toles and Lizzie Toles.[5]

In the 1900 census George (age 50) was living in Eulalia, Potter, Pennsylvania, USA. Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head: Head.[6]

In 1910 George (age about 59) was living in Eulalia, Potter, Pennsylvania, USA. Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Head.[7]
