Biography

Charles Tolman was born Apr 5, 1789 in the part of Marlborough, New Hampshire now called Troy. He is the son of Benjamin Tolman and Hepsibeth Newell. [1]

Charles married Alta Anderson of Albany, New York on Jan 1, 1817.

He was in some of the most noted engagements of the war of 1812. [2] [3]

Charles died in Shelburne, Massachusetts on Aug 19, 1869 [5] and is buried in Shelburne Falls at Arms Cemetery. [6]
