Biography

In approximately 1894, Ralph is born in Burke County, North Carolina.[citation needed]

In 1900, Ralph is living in his father's household in Burke County, North Carolina.[1]

In 1910, Ralph was living with his widowed father in Pierce County, Washington.[2]

On April 15, 1918, Ralph married Alice Agnes Hadlow in Kamloops B C, Canada.[3] My guess is that he moves to Canada at this point since on July 7, 1929 there is a record of him crossing the border back to the US. His wife Alice is listed as his departure contact and his father John as his arrival contact in Washington. Interesting note: Though born in the US in Burke County, North Carolina on his crossing paperwork his race is listed as "Irish". [4]

Sometime between his border crossing in July and the 1930 census, the rest of his family appears to have come to the US since the all appear on the census in Pierce County, Washington.[5]

Before his death, Ralph returns to Canada. There appears to have been a second marriage since his spouse's name at the time of death is different. [citation needed]

On April 2, 1979, Ralph died in Enderby, British Columbia, Canada. His wife of record at the time of his death was Alice Edith Wilson.[6]

Ralph Toney did more than just abandon his 1st wife Alice Agnes (Hadlow) Toney, he moved up the road with his new woman and came back to the ranch to cream it of anything of value leaving (Granny) destitute with all of her children.

Alice Agnes (Hadlow) Toney, asked The People for help, no one came save for Amie August, who of her own self could do nothing.
