Thomas Tonkin migrated from Cornwall to New South Wales.

Thomas was born in 1846. He is the son of John Tonkin and Eliza Hendy. [1]
He was baptised the same day as his siblings Elizabeth, Samuel and Agnes on 24 February 1854 in Cury, Cornwall. [2]
With his family he emigrated to Australia on the Rajasthan, arriving in New South Wales in 1855. [3]
