Walter W. Tower was born in 1949 in Amherst, Cumberland, Nova Scotia, Canada, son of John William Tower (1929–2017) and Nettie M. White (1929–2012).

Walter died in 1973 in Amherst, aged 23. He was buried in Saint Charles-Nativity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Amherst, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.[1]
