THE LATE MRS. FAVELL.
In connection with the regretted demise of Mrs Arthur Favell, briefly reported by us yesterday an esteemed contributor supplies the following details:—"The deceased lady was a resident of Pretty Plains for over 30 years, and was a sister of Mr. John Townsend. She was born at Kurrajong, Richmond, N.S.W, in the year 1841. The late Mrs. Favell was widely respected and beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her many acts of charity will remain green for many years to come, as nothing was a trouble to her to help those in need. Her cheerfulness and loving disposition was a great comfort to her many friends for whom she could not do too much. Snow and cold never prevented her from attending to the many wants of the sick and needy. The world is all the better for the many noble acts the late revered lady is responsible for, and the poorer for having lost her. The deceased lady has left nine children to mourn her loss, viz., Mrs. Samuel Hawke, of Mt Pleasant; Mrs. William Glasson, of Cumnock; Mrs. C. Hawke, of Canoblas; Mrs. W. Dean, of Grenfell; Mrs. W Brabyn, of Sydney; Mrs. W. Slbraa, of Nyngan; Mrs. E. Sampson, of Wolgan, Mrs. T. Croft, of Hamilton., Newcastle; and Miss Dora, the only single daughter. There was only one son, who died in infancy. The remains were interred in the Church of England portion of the Millthorpe cemetery, yesterday afternoon. The Rev. R. H. Kelly officiated at the grave. The mortuary arrangements were carried out by Mr. D. J. Wenhan. [5]
