Biography

Converse Trott, the son of Lemuel Trott, Jr., and his wife, Fanny Reed Trott, was born in Woolwich, Maine on 26 Apr 1807; he died there on 10 May 1885. On 16 Dec 1845, he married Joanna Hathorne Gilmore; they had 3 children: Alfred (1847-1916), Fernando (1847-1864), and Ellen Jane (1851-1932). The latter never married, and she inherited the family farm.

Converse, Joanna, and their son Fernando are buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Sagadahoc County, Maine. See Find A Grave memorial page # 63363181 for Converse. (Note that the 1870 Census and his gravestone spell his name without the final e: Convers. All other references that I found show it as Converse.)
