US Black Heritage Project
Mark Trotter is a part of US Black heritage.

Mark C. Trotter was interviewed in Edmonson, Arkansas about 1938 about his life and his time as an enslaved person. The typescript is stamp dated May 11, 1938.

"My owners was Miss Betty and Mr. Luke Trotter. I was born in Tunica County, Mississippi. I farmed all my whole life."

"I come to Arkansas in 1923."

Mr. Trotter does not name any family members in his interview.


Interview: Mark C. Trotter was interviewed in Edmondson, Arkansas by Miss Irene Robertson as part of the Federal Writer's Project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The results are made available by the Library of Congress. [1]
