Stephen Tucker is a part of US Black heritage.
Stephen was born before 1846. He was named in the will of Sarah Wyche (Taylor) Tucker dated 19 Dec 1846, Richland District, South Carolina, USA, and was bequeathed to Sarah’s friend, James D. Tradewell of Columbia, South Carolina, “in trust for the use and benefit of Martha Wiggins (formerly Martha Russell) my sister of and now residing in Georgia, for her sole use and benefit during her natural life, and at her death to her son Robert Russell, whose name has been changed to that of Robert Taylor and to his heirs and assigns forever.” Two other slaves, Doll and Mary, were also bequeathed to Sarah's sister, Martha Wiggins, in the same manner.[1]
