Biography

Neville Harry Tunnicliffe was born on 14 March 1901, almost certainly at 30 Framland Street, Leicester, the fifth son of Wright Tunnicliffe and his wife Sarah Gilson. His date of birth is shown on his listing in the 1939 England & Wales Register^[1].

The England Censuses of 1901^[2] and 1911^[3] show him living with his family at 30 Framland Street, Leicester. He was the only one of his brothers who did not follow his father into the tailoring trade.

Neville married Doris Phyllis Taylor in St Peter's, Leicester on 30 June 1928^[4][5].

Neville is listed in the 1939 Register of England & Wales^[1] living with his wife at 1 Halsbury St, Leicester. He was a Warehouseman (heavy worker) in a Shoe Mercery.

Neville passed away, aged 63, on 8 November 1963. He left an Estate valued at £491 (approximately £10,955 in 2022) to his wife^[6].
