Margaret Tuohy (married name Packer) was born on 16 March 1861 at Reids Creek, Victoria, Australia, daughter of Catherine Margaret (Rodgers) Tuohy and Michael Joseph Tuohy.^{[citation needed]}

She married Joseph Henry Adolphus Packer in 1887 in Victoria.^[1] Their children were:

• Catherine Mary Packer (1890-1890)
• Martin Francis Packer (1891-1975)
• Thomas Leo Packer (1893–1924)

Margaret died on 10 May 1925 in Wodonga, Victoria, aged 64 years.^[2]
