Nathan Coleman Turner was baptized in the First Parish Church of Sandwich, Massachusetts on 13 August 1808, son of Joshua & Lydia (Coleman) Turner. He married Hannah Ball about 1833, and by 1840 they had removed to LaSalle County, Illinois. They resided in Troy Grove with their six children.
