Biography

Britta was born in 1813 at Tvedten farm at the northeast end of Stordalsvatnet in Etne clerical district, Hordaland, Norway, the daughter of Åmund Bjørnsen (Ve) Tvedten and Anna Hansdatter Frette. At age 21 in 1833, she married Erik Rasmusen Fjøsne at Grindheim church in Etne clerical district. Erik joined her at Tvedten where they had (at least) seven children together. Britta died at Tvedten in 1882 and was buried at Grindheim.
