Biography
Robert Tweedie was born in Scotland.
Robert Joseph Tweedie was born on October 28, 1912 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, the second child of Robert Tweedie and Mary Barrass McMillan.[1]
He married Margaret McCluskey, the daughter of Thomas McCluskey and Elizabeth Russell Knaggs on April 6, 1934 in Glasgow.[2] They had four children; Robert, Elizabeth, Thomas and Joseph.
Robert worked a few different jobs in his life, including being a coal carrier, iron dresser and even a restaurant waiter.[3]
He was known for insisting on walking everywhere.[3]
During World War II, he was a signalman.[3]
Robert died on March 6, 1988 in Glasgow.[4]
