Biography

Richard was born February 26, 1874 in Port Hope, Durham, Ontario, Canada. He is the son of William Uglow and Elizabeth Ann Hancock who were both born in Cornwall, England.

He married Susan Rhoda Henderson on January 17, 1925 in Toronto, York, Ontario. He was 50 years old, a bachelor, a farmer and a resident of Port Hope, Durham county. She was 24, a spinster, a graduate Nurse, a resident of Toronto and her parents were Adam Henderson and Jane Tissons.^[1]

Widowed in 1943, Richard died August 1, 1958 in Morrish near Port Hope, Durham, Ontario and was buried next to his wife in Saint John's Anglican Cemetery in Port Hope. ^[2]
