Biography

There are several versions of her name: Anna Margaret Elizabeth Lehman/^[1] and Anna Maria /Lehman/^[2]

There also Anna Johanna Louisa Adriana /Benij/^[3][4][5] and Anna Margaret Elizabeth and Anna Maria Margaritha^[6][7]

She was born in 1699 in the Palatinate, Germany. It has also been said that she was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (but that is surely incorrect). ^[8]

Anna Margaret Elizabeth married John Christian Lehman in 1722 in Speyerdorf, Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany^[9][10][11]

Anna Maria Lehman migrated to Pennsylvania in 1730 with her husband, Christian, and three children: Anna Maria, Susanna, and Johannes.^[12][13] She died in 1755 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.^[14]
