There is no evidence that Mary's last name at birth was Raleigh.
Mary's birth date and location are not known, nor are her parents known, nor her marriage date or location.
We do know that she was the wife of William Pendergrass and that they first show up in the records living in Granville County, North Carolina about 1755.
William and Mary had only two children that we know of: John and Spencer, who were living in the same neighborhood in 1755.
In 1789 the Franklin County, North Carolina court ordered Mary to administer the estate of her husband[1], who had died several years before.
She may have died shortly after that because she is not found in the 1790 census living alone, nor does she seem to have been living with either son.
